...I think we have something to discuss. I believe I've made an error in judgment and caused some unnecessary friction, and I'm hoping we can resolve this peacefully.

Dr. Geiszler came croaking to me a short while ago. I take it you two have been...clashing.

I asked him for his discretion about what I told him in confidence, but I never should have involved him. He means well, but...well. I should have expected this.

[ It's an effort NOT to chuckle at that, Doc. ]

You are under no obligation to avoid speaking with your friends, Emmett.

[He sighs.]

Now, back to the matter at hand...the curse you placed on Dr. Geiszler is causing him quite a bit of distress. How long are you planning to hold it over him?

You still sound as though you're apologizing for something you did not do.

[ And now he sighs, but he still sounds far more at ease than Doc probably does. ]

I hadn't really given that much thought, if I'm being perfectly honest.

Well, he panics easily...but I also told him, truthfully, that even I don't know the full extent of your abilities.

But to be honest, it's almost Christmas and he largely seems to think this threatens his plans with his fiancé...and given my own hopes for the next few days, I'm sympathetic.

I'm sure I'm sparing his intended a headache.

Not if I know Dr. Geislzer. He'll likely croak incessantly at Dr. Gottlieb too, and then you'll have both of them at your door.

He'll have to learn to shut up eventually then, won't he?

He sent me an audio file of your conversation leading up to the croaking. I know it's something I wasn't supposed to hear, but this mess started when he suggested we were going on a trip together.

That is, if it's not too much trouble? I know it's cumbersome to travel so far from the shop, I don't want to impose on your business of course! But it'd be a pleasure to have you.

There is no need for such concern; I am taking time off until the new year.
